A real effort in teamwork has been the key to one of our longest ongoing projects, working alongside contractors to help excavate access holes for new water meters.

Working in conjunction with a team of groundbreakers, road surfaces and pavements are broken up by the team as our operators and vehicle following behind can then extract any material. This allows for new pipes and meters to be installed, the ground reinstated and made safe, before moving onto the next area.

This effective teamwork enables the contractors to complete around 14 new installations a day, minimising disruption to the area but also keeping all the teams safe during the work by reducing the risk of utility strikes.

Along with its numerous safety benefits, Vacuum Excavation offers a faster, more cost-effective solution. A standard Vac Ex can remove 2m³of spoil per hour while the inbuilt skip can hold up to 10m³ before needing to be emptied. This means that one vac ex can get the job done in a fraction of the time it would take a team of men or a digger, making a significant saving on man hours.
