February marks a year since we wrapped our vacuum excavator in striking pink livery and hit the road with it to raise funds for UK cancer charities.
Throughout 2016 the pink truck has travelled the width and length of the UK, from the Scottish Highlands to Birmingham, sunny Weston-super-Mare and on to Cornwall. Its regular driver Rob has seen some peculiar expressions on people’s faces as he pulls up on site – as well as from passers-by keen for a snap of the giant pink machine.
With December’s official figures now in we can reveal that the truck raised a fantastic £8,092 in 2016 – a fantastic dent in our £10,000 fundraising target.
For each day our pink truck was sent to work we donated money – so a special thank you to all our customers for keeping us busy with bookings throughout the year.
Our progress to date
You can see how we reached that £8,000+ achievement by visiting our charity progress page:[button text=”See Progress” size=”medium” url=”https://www.pier-uk.co.uk/about-us/charity” txtColor=”#fff” bgColor=”#e72468″ txtColorHover=”#ffffff” bgColorHover=”#e72468″ /]
We’ve not finished yet though – we’ve still plenty of donations to generate in 2017, with our truck already being kept busy as we start the new year.[call_to_action_bar title=”Want to help us reach our £10,000 target?” excerpt=”Enquiry about hiring a vacuum excavator today!” txtColor=”#fff” bgColor=”#e72468″ buttonText=”Send Enquiry” buttonUrl=”https://www.pier-uk.co.uk/contacts/” buttonTxtColor=”#fff” buttonBgColor=”#e72468″ buttonTxtColorHover=”#fff” buttonBgColorHover=”#e72468″ /]
