PIER (UK) pride themselves on playing their part by doing charity fundraising events as often as possible. February 2017 marked an entire year since we wrapped our Vacuum Excavator in striking pink livery and hit the road to raise funds for UK cancer charities.
Throughout 2016, the pink truck has travelled the width and length of the UK, from the Scottish Highlands to Birmingham, sunny Weston-Super-Mare as well as Cornwall. The regular pink Vac-Ex driver Rob has spotted some peculiar expressions on people’s faces as he pulls up on-site, as well as from passers-by who are eager for a snap of the giant pink vehicle.
With December 2016’s official figures counted and verified, we can reveal that the pink Vacuum Excavator raised a fantastic £8,092 throughout 2016 and made a superb dent in our £10,000 fundraising target.
For each day that our pink truck was sent out to work, we donated money and so, we would like to say a very special thank you for all of our customers for continually keeping us busy with bookings.
