We’re delighted to be able to say we have a FORS accredited vacuum excavation hire fleet for another year!
Following a thorough audit from FORS of our existing bronze status, we successfully renewed the accolade for 2017. We’re pleased to be able to continue on this scheme alongside our other safety accreditations and certifications.
The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme is particularly important to the team, as we continue to grow our vacuum excavation hire fleet. We now provide 30 suction excavators to customers across the UK, meaning we’re out and about on the roads more than ever before.
This increased road usage means we’re committed as a business to thrive for high standards of safety and compliance. It’s great to know that our vacuum excavation fleet continues to meet industry standards as we introduce more new units each year.
Construction Site Safety
Hiring out our vacuum excavation hire equipment on construction sites on a daily basis, we were also keen to sign up to be a CLOCS champion. The scheme, Construction Logistics and Community Safety was established in 2013 following an industry report that identified that 55% of cyclist fatalities in London between 2008 and 2013 involved heavy goods vehicles. The CLOCs steering group now work to establish a best practice with vehicle operators, to raise awareness of potential dangers and improve safety in the community.
We look forward to strengthening our operations across 2017 with the support of both FORS and CLOCS.
