Vacuum Excavation Project: Heathrow Ground Works

Our Vacuum Excavation units are requested for a project as our customers know that the strong suction power will provide fast and safe excavation, ensuring that construction doesn’t stop whilst the excavation work is being carried out.

For this Vacuum Excavation project, our team went on-site near Heathrow Airport. Our vacuum excavator was supported by an air lance to quickly expose services buried underground, allowing the contractors to continue with their installation.

Whilst it was a fairly straightforward project with an extremely busy airport nearby, a no-dig technology approach provided a much-needed low-risk approach in order to efficiently reach the underground utilities.

This advanced technology provides precision excavation with complete control thanks to the remote-controlled excavation arm. Once all the underground utility lines had been located and clearly marked, the suction excavator made light work of removing the ground material for quick maintenance and repair. The no-dig suction reduces noise and disruption to local residents and also limits vibrations that could possibly lead to damage on or around the site.
