When new ductwork and cables were required in Renfrewshire, Scotland, our Vacuum Excavation expertise were called upon to safely and efficiently complete the project.
The Vacuum Excavation project entailed lifting up 2 types of road and pavements and then digging to a depth of 700mm in order to accommodate the new cables. As plans showed existing gas, electric and telecommunication lines, a no-dig Vacuum Excavation approach was requested in order to safely remove the ground material away without risking damage to the existing utilities or to cause a service strike.
With the assistance of an air lance, all the ground materials were swiftly excavated to provide the engineers with much needed access to install new lines.
The images show the pavement before, during and after Vacuum Excavation.
